O Dia <strong>Madaraka<\/strong> \u00e9 um feriado que comemora o momento em que o Qu\u00eania assumiu o poder. Tamb\u00e9m possu\u00eda ocupa\u00e7\u00f5es de terras e explora\u00e7\u00e3o de com\u00e9rcio por comunidades alem\u00e3s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">O Qu\u00eania fazia parte do &#8220;protetorado&#8221; brit\u00e2nico da \u00c1frica Oriental, de 1895 \u00e0 1920, quando formalmente se torna uma col\u00f4nia brit\u00e2nica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Disputas por terra eram comuns, levando \u00e0 rebeli\u00e3o do povo Kikuyu em 1952.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">As primeiras elei\u00e7\u00f5es diretas ocorreram em 1957. A Uni\u00e3o Nacional Africana do Qu\u00eania, liderada por Jomo Kenyatta, da etnia Kikuyu, forma o primeiro governo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Em 1\u00ba de junho de 1963, o Qu\u00eania se torna um pa\u00eds aut\u00f4nomo. Jomo Kenyatta \u00e9 aclamado seu primeiro primeiro-ministro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">A independ\u00eancia total do dom\u00ednio brit\u00e2nico ocorre em 12 de dezembro de 1963. O Qu\u00eania se afirma como na\u00e7\u00e3o independente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Este \u00e9 um dos tr\u00eas feriados nacionais, a constarem da Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o do Qu\u00eania, de 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"notranslate\">Como \u00e9 comemorado Madaraka day?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Para comemorar o Dia Madaraka, os quenianos se reunem em v\u00e1rias atividades c\u00edvicas. Algumas com <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es de desfiles militares, palestras, m\u00fasicas e dan\u00e7as.
